Horse Racing tips: Our six best bets at Will Rogers Downs in Oklahoma tonight

A super six from the sooner state

We’re off down Oklahoma way for a ten-race programme tonight. The action gets underway at 7.15pm and we’ve picked out a few fancies for you to make up an early Heinz. We hope it’s a tasty one! You can follow all the action on Sky Sports Racing.

7.15pm – Shawn Again @ 4/1

Delta Surprise’s overall profile is fairy poor having only managed two places in his ten starts to date, however he warrants consideration in this very low-class affair.

There could be a bit of value in Shawn Again. He ran well in defeat twice in March and we think he’s worth a try in a race that won’t take much winning.

7.45pm – Honest N Lucky @ 11/4

Right On By weakened late over course and distance back on March 31. She’s finished in the places more often than not in her career and must be respected in this class.

Honest N Lucky has 3 wins and 4 places to show from her 14 starts, including a win here in this class over course and distance March 23. She likes to set the fractions & could prove hard to pass tonight.

8.15pm – Morhawk @ 3/1

Sedaris has won two and placed five times in his 12 races to date. He ran well when beaten a length and a half in this class here March 24.

Morhawk doesn’t know how to run a bad race,. he’s been knocking on the door lately and takes a drop down in class. He’s also well drawn on the inside and that swings our vote.

8.45pm – Gone Dancing @ 4/1

Concrete Finisher was always held when 2nd in this grade on March 31. He’s yet to score after 13 attempts and looks to have a decent shout here on his best form.

Even though this is a very weak looking race we think he’s more likely to place than win. Gone Dancing is having his first Will Rogers outing tonight and should have a say if producing his best Oaklawn Park form. He could be worth chancing here.

9.15pm – Shell Fire @ 2/1

Shell Fire ran very well in a much better race than this when third at Sam Houston in February. The jockey didn’t have to break sweat to hold a comfortable third that day and this is a much lower class race.

He has a wide draw to overcome but we think he should be well up to winning tonight in what is his first Will Rogers outing. Cairo King is also respected.

9.45pm – Burbach @ 4/1

Burbach showed plenty of speed when second over an extra half furlong here March 31. The drop down to this five-furlong trip looks a step in the right direction for Mark Buehrer’s grey gelding.

It’ll be no surprise to see him try to make all again and he could prove hard to catch. Woods Of Congaree should also enjoy this drop in trip and would be a danger if close up as they swing for home.
