Horse Racing Tips: Plenty of specials on offer as our traders pick the best bets for Will Rogers

They had a 12/1 shot that came in yesterday at Gulfstream.

Racing continues this Easter Monday as Will Rogers Downs hosts a 10 race card, and we’ve plenty of offers at the Oklahoma venue today.

Race 1 19:15 – Proud Mari @ 10/3

We get going with a five furlong maiden and we are going money back if you are 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in this race. With that great offer in mind, it’s worth siding with PROUD MARI who can continue her recent good form, she was runner up in a similar event here 14 days ago. Mark Buehrer’s 3-year-old showed a career-best that day and looks to be going in the right direction. Jose Angel Medina is back on board today and a bold bid is expected.

Race 3 20:15 – Shanghai Sally @ 5/2

Six furlongs in front of us this time, and we are giving all customers a free Power-Up if you place a £/€10 bet. The top three in the market are fairly well matched on form and are similarly priced. SHANGHAI SALLY has got winning form over this trip, and she shaped up nicely 3 weeks ago when runner up here over 5 furlongs. The step-up in trip looks sure to suit and Shanghai Sally can score if played late by Curtis Kimes.

Race 7 22:15 – Euro Surprise @ 17/2

We have plenty of extra place races on the card here today and this 6-furlong event for the 3-year-olds is paying first four home. And with these generous place terms on offer, it may pay to take a chance on EURO SURPRISE. The selection has had a couple of racecourse experiences and showed improved form last time out when third at this venue. Kenneth Nolen’s gelding looks like he’s improving and is very capable of being involved in the finish with Floyd Wethey back on board.

Race 8 22:45 – Thirsty Actor @ 16/1

More extra place action in the mile event and it looks the most open race on the card. You can make cases for several of the runners, but with that extra place in mind, it may be worth looking further down the card and seeking some value. THIRSTY ACTOR has got five career victories to his name, including over this trip. The selection was a winner back in February over this trip at Turfway Park, and although this is a tougher race, Genaro Garcia’s 6-year-old is capable of being on the premises at the finish and is worth an each-way interest with the first 4 getting paid.

RANKED: Six of the best English managers of all time

Race 9 23:15 – Vallestina @ 11/8

The feature race on the card is the penultimate race, this is over 5 and ½ furlongs and is also an extra place race. However, VALLESTINA is the one they all have to beat. The selection is a fascinating runner here for trainer Anna Meah, who has been campaigning the 6-year-old throughout the country in search of prize money. The selection’s recent victory at Santa Anita last month should have her spot on for this, and in a race where there is sure to be plenty of early pace, Vallestina can show her class and justify her trainer’s Oklahoma raid.
