Horse racing tips: 10 to turn that frown upside-down at Will Rogers Downs

A monster card in Oklahoma this evening.

19.15 – Hooked On A Hit

Hooked On A Hit was left with too much to do after tearaway leaders set fast fractions March 24th. She stayed on late through beaten horses that day. Hot jockey David Cabrera takes over in the saddle and the mare can be expected to have a big say from this inside gate. Tapindeed has her sights lowered and is rated the main danger.

19.45 – Casino Queen

Casino Queen should strip fitter for her latest start where she was taken on for the lead and folded tamely in the straight. This looks an easier race and Kenneth Nolen’s filly has the early zip to overcome this wide draw. Grayzone lost out narrowly at Sam Houston last time out and should put in another decent effort tonight.

20.15 – Survey

Survey stayed on well when a clear cut second best over course and distance Mar 25th. That form should be good enough to land this weak affair. We expect jockey Ty Kennedy to get Survey’s skates on early from this inside draw and make all. De Bird Is The Word doesn’t know how to run a bad race should also have a say.

20.45 – D’Cinnamon Girl

Roses For Doug cruised through to take a distant second behind a stable mate Feb 18th at Turf Paradise. She’s having her first run for Kerri Raven here and looks the obvious choice on that form. We think D’Cinnamon Girl could have a say at a decent each way price. She was well beaten over course and distance March 17th but was given tender handling once her chance had gone. She also may not have enjoyed the sloppy conditions. We’ll chance her in this much weaker contest.

21.15 – Nautia

Nautia has joined the in-form Steven Asmussen stable and he looks to have found a decent opening for the mare here. She was contesting $32k last year and runs for a quarter of that here. Bode On Tap will be doing her best work in the straight and is rated the main danger.

21.45 – Nomo Ron

Lindante made all and held on gamely over course and distance last week. He’ll have to work hard for a decent position from tonight’s wide draw here. We prefer the chances of Nomo Ron who ran way below expectations when a distant fifth at Delta Downs February 20th. He’s taking a big drop in class here and would have a big say if producing anything close to his best.

22.15 – Ed’s Rocket

Recent easy winners Trapalanda and Ed’s Rocket are sure to be popular. Ed’s Rocket looks to have more scope for improvement of the pair. He showed a decent bit of early pace to win easily at Mahoning Valley March 4th. He’s sure to be set alight early on from this wide draw and should have no problem lasting home over this slightly shorter trip.

22.45 – Silver Luke Silver

Silver Luke Silver closed all the way to the line when second over 6f here March 30th. The in-form Obed Sanchez takes over in the saddle and this longer trip looks ideal. He gets the vote ahead of John Allen who wasn’t disgraced behind an impressive winner here a couple of weeks ago.

23.15 – Bay Muzik

Bay Muzik was third in a Grade 2 sprint at Santa Anita Jan 1. He’s having his first run for trainer William Morey tonight and should have a big say in this comparatively low class handicap. He gets a confident vote ahead of Direct Dial who also has his sights lowered and can be expected to have a say from his ideal inside draw.

23.45 – Bring The Dough

A wide-open claimer to round off the card. We’re going to chance Bring The Dough who would have a big say if rekindling the sparkle of his Remington maiden win in October. Wil Of Fortune was beaten when odds on over course & distance March 25th and is rated the main danger.
