19:15 – GOLDEN LULLABYE @ 2/1
A small but competitive field for the opening claimer over 6-furlongs at Will Rogers this Monday night. Nocturnal Mission has a first run at Will Rogers and drops back a furlong tonight following a recent second at Sam Houston. The consistent Golden Lullabye is the pick for in-form trainer Danny Pish – she’s been knocking on the door in recent allowance races and has an excellent chance tonight.
19:45 – TWO THE PUNCH @ 2/1
Game Day Decision has been knocking on the door lately in good races around Sam Houston and makes a track debut here tonight. Two the Punch is another with solid claims and our selection for a third consecutive victory. He clocked a good winning time over this trip at Turf Paradise two-starts back with a good jockey booking in Ry Eikleberry.

20:15 – MAVERICK BROWN (NAP) @ 2/1
Affirmatif Song, Race the Moon and Maverick Brown have all been running well of late with Sweettalkncandyman looking for back to back wins. The drop back to 5-furlongs looks ideal for Maverick Brown who won from the front here over course and distance last year – expect another gate to wire success under jockey Gustavo Herrera tonight.
20:45 – LONG RIDE HOME (NEXT-BEST) @ 5/2
A wide-open 5.5-furlong claimer with a bunch of exposed runners with Madison’s Place and Long Ride Home the only recent winners. Bling Springsteen is another for the short-list following an improved second here 13-days ago, but it’s worth siding with Long Ride Home again. She was impressive when winning her maiden two-weeks ago and she’ll go close again for Scott Young.
21:15 – WILD PROSPECT @ 3/1
Not the greatest of races for our fifth of the night, a one-mile maiden special weight with seven-runners. Magically Honored drops down in grade and Scott Young’s Sheza Rockstar are both on the short-list, but Wild Prospect is our pick. Brent Charlton’s mare has been knocking on the door and will hopefully get off the mark tonight following her recent second here 12-days ago.
21:45 – ANGELS CUT 11/4
The four horses at the top of the market all managed to gain success when last seen on the racetrack which makes this an interesting 5.5-furlong claimer. Given Kisses was impressive when scoring at Sam Houston latest, but Angels Cut looks the horse to follow here. The slight drop back in trip won’t be an issue and she’ll be ridden forward by jockey Lane Luzzi tonight.
22:15 – LABHAY @ 6/1
Karate Hottie steps up in trip tonight for this one-mile allowance contest and has been a model of consistency for connections. The lightly raced Aura is another for the short-list and won impressively at Sam Houston in January, but Labhay is the pick for a third straight win. The daughter of New Approach will appreciate the strong pace here and looks a valued price to go close for Tracy Norris.
22:45 – COLLEGE QUEEN @ 3/1
Battle Chick is a leading contender for trainer Ken Nolen dropping down in grade for this 5.5-furlong claimer with a strong pace expected. College Queen bounced back into form last month when finishing third and makes her Will Rogers debut tonight. She’ll appreciate a strong gallop and a similar performance to her win at Turf Paradise in January can be expected again tonight.
23:15 – WHOLEHEARTED 15/8
Steve Asmussen runs Estilo Femenino with Lane Luzzi booked having managed two good efforts in better company at Oaklowan Park of late. Spring Steen and Lady Orchid have each-ways chances, but Wholehearted is the selection here. She’s been so consistent for connections and she’ll have enough gears at the business end to hold off any late challengers.
23:45 – SAVVY SPENDER @ 4/5
Another group of exposed runners for the closing 6-furlong maiden special weight to end the Monday night card at Will Rogers. Los Suenos has been knocking on the door but looks unlikely to stay the extra half-furlong tonight. Savvy Spender is the obvious selection dropping back in trip and a gate to wire performance looks nailed on in the lucky last.
