Horse Racing Tips: Our traders have a full card of Fonner Park fancies for tonight’s action

Nebraska. Can't say I've been.

22:00 – J TRAIN @ 2/1

The action at Fonner Park gets underway with a maiden special weight over 6-furlongs on Monday night with Mr. Big Shot and J Train meeting again. The Gregorio Rivera trained J Train was behind Mr. Big Shot twice before finishing second and in-front of his rival here two-weeks ago. Prince B and Mr Mon also have form behind the top two contenders, but J Train is the tentative special in an open race.

22:27 – YOUNGBOY @ 11/2

We drop down to 4-furlongs for our second race on the card with Dreaming Type and Red Majesty the main market rivals for this claimer. Both are previous course and distance winners and will be raced on the front end. Youngboy will appreciate this strong-pace and clocked a good winning time last month and looks an alternative each-way pick.

22:54 – SCOTIA QUEEN @ 9/2

A lot of exposed runners for the maiden special weight over 6-furlongs for our third race of the night at Fonner Park. The pace angle looks interesting here with most of these runners liking some cover, leaving both Witts Data Link and Scotia Queen likely to be forward on the front-end. Scotia Queen looks the more consistent and should be able to find plenty in the closing stages to kick-on for victory under jockey Mike Luark.

23:21 – DION @ 5/1

Spa Shackalacka and Free Music are the clear form horses in this 4-furlong claimer with preference for the Isai Gonzalez runner in any match-bet. However, Dion looks the each-way alternative following his comeback run back in February for owner Rodney Miller. He’ll be right on the front end here and could have enough of an advantage over the chasing pace to secure victory tonight.

23:48 – LONESOME HIGHWAY @ 13/8

Lonesome Highway had a number of these in behind when winning here 12-days ago and looks to have every chance of following up again tonight. Scott Bethke is back in the saddle and hopefully, a tactic of dropping off behind an expected strong pace will see this horse strike again late with Dribbles an each-way play at a bigger price.

00:15 – AKOKA GIRL @ 7/2

This looks an easier race for Anwara and trainer Marissa Black’s runner will be popular among punters in this 6-furlong claimer. Lingering Sally could improve further after a surprise second latest, but it might be worth taking a punt on Atoka Girl. Andrew Bossung’s mare is back out quickly having finished fourth in an allowance race – don’t be surprised to see a gate to wire success in this race.

00:42 – GREEN CARD @ 3/1

A couple of previous winners in the mix here with Green Card and Diesel’s Prize scoring when last seen on the racetrack. Chared landed a decent prize two-starts back before finishing down the field here 22-days ago and is short-listed. However, Green Card looks open to further improvement and could secure his fourth career victory here for trainer Joe Hawley.

01:09 – ONEPRETTYTHING @ 4/1

An open contest for the 6-furlong allowance race which is our penultimate race on the Fonner card. Pretty Rich and Chickes Done look the pace angles here with Global Exchange also on the shortlist for Marissa Black. Oneprettything is our selection having a first start for trainer Tim Anderson – this mare came from off the pace when winning nicely at Mahoning Valley and should prevail again here.

01:36 – PIERPONT @ 5/1

A handful of runners in contention for the final race on the Fonner Park card, a 6-furlong claimer contest. Old boy Runarounddancing scored here last month when close to the pace, while King of Anything drops into claiming company. The consistent and in-form Pierpont is our final selection for trainer Isai Gonzalez and is currently unbeaten here and looks each-way value to run another solid race.
