A 10-race programme at Will Rogers Downs on Wednesday night where we’re surprised Robertino Diadoro hasn’t stepped Dial Em In (22.15) up in class after the filly won in runaway fashion a couple of weeks ago.
She’s one of our big fancies along with You Zip It who looks to have a great opportunity to open her account in the 21.45.
A low-level claimer to start off the card. Starling is sure to be popular after a solid effort in defeat last time out. We prefer the chances of Ranger Bob who also ran well in defeat latest in a better class claimer than this. His trainer Steven Asmussen has been getting plenty of winners lately & this is his only runner on tonight’s card.
Camp Washita’s form lines are going in the right direction & she has a decent inside gate draw tonight. Tried at a higher level in her earlier races this looks a decent opportunity for her to get off the mark. Bizzar Brown has solid claims in this grade and is on a double mission tonight. She may need luck from this wide gate draw, we still rate her as the main threat.
Rookie Season was an impressive winner over course & distance on March 16th. He steps up to allowance company for tonight’s double mission & looks to have a decent chance of doubling up. Criminal can follow him home for the forecast.
Magic In Motion GP is the obvious choice here. The five-year-old mare is clearly in fine form after landing similar contests at Sam Houston in her last two starts. Tic Toc Toccet could also get in the mix from an ideal inside gate draw.
Jerry’s Vision showed a decent level of form on his debut at Remington Park on debut & with normal improvement he should be well capable of making his presence felt here. Coco Kid ran well in third in this grade here in mid March & is rated the main danger.
You Zip It wasn’t disgraced in a much better race than this a couple of weeks ago. She looks to be the one to side with in this weak looking maiden claimer. Combine Road may give her most to do.
Royal Soprano returns from a break and would have a decent chance if stripping fully fit. Dial Em In scored in this grade over course & distance March 17th. Connections chase a double here with a filly that will be well able to hold her own in much better races in the future.
Trainer Scott Young has a great strike rate here & has a brace in this with Save The Day & My Password. Save The Day makes her race course debut & My Password remains relatively unexposed. Both make our shortlist at value prices but if pushed we’d go with Save The Day.
Lindante ran well in a better race than this in his first start for trainer Karl Broberg at Sam Houston Park. He gets the vote now dropped in class. The draw near the fence is another big positive. Blue Bomber was a very warm favourite when turned over in this class March 16th & is rated the danger.
Righteous Mover ran well when second over course & distance behind a solid yardstick in Dial Em In (entered in the 10.45 tonight). Improvement is likely although a repeat of that effort could well suffice. The consistent Grey Sky Mesa followed her home that night and in third & is rated the main threat.
