October Won has showed enough in defeat to suggest he’s well up to winning a weak contest like this. You’d need to be brave to support a horse simply because it seems to be the best of a poor bunch though. We think an each-way play on Coil And Strike represents better value. Larry Donlin’s filly is capable of better than she’s shown recently & she could well get in the mix at a double figure price.

We prefer the chances of Bold Bulldog who is having his first start for Gerry Gourneau. Bold Bulldog has respectable form in better races than this at other courses & should be primed for a big from an ideal inside gate.

Southernaire is likely to be popular after recent successes at Delta Downs. Legendary Larry could be overpriced now after flopping when supported at Delta Downs last time out. He has won 5 of his 14 All Weather starts & it’ll be no surpirise if he picks up some prize money here.

Popcorn For Eddie has been in the winning groove recently & looks set to add to his tally tonight. Scooters Boy is on a double mission after scoring last week & is rated the main threat.
