Horse Racing Tips: 7 selections for the late night card at Gold Gate Fields

We’re putting all our eggs in the Sigur Ross basket.

US Racing Golden-Gate-Fields-racetrack

A late card at Golden Gate tonight and we’ve a few fancies for you on the first seven races. Frank Lucarelli has a couple of runners that we expect to go close. Aero Street in the 10.20pm and  Sigur Ross who has his first start for the stable in the 10.53pm. We’re putting all our eggs in the Sigur Ross basket.

Be lucky Sigur, be lucky!

8.45pm – St James Place @ 3/1

A weak race to start tonight’s card & it could be opportunity knocks for St James Place. A lightly raced 5yo gelding representing the Jeff Bonde stable. Bonde has won with 2 of his last 5 runners & this is his only runner on tonight’s card. The consistent Glenroy has a habit of finding one or two too good & is rated the main threat.

9.17pm – Classic Champ @ 3/1

Frank Alvorado went close when riding Classic Champ over course & distance for the first time on March 8th & can be expected to put in a decent effort again tonight. Alvorado has a 28% strike rate at Golden Gate. Herdsman has been running with credit in recent outings &  can once again pick up the show money.

9.48pm – Reiwa @ 9/2

Yangtze River is sure to be popular as she chases three victories in a row. Preference is for Reiwa who has been running very well lately & is due her turn in the winner’s enclosure. Dynasty Of Her Own is also respected.

10.20pm – Aero Street @ 9/4

Aero Street was only beaten half a length in his first run since joining the Frank Lucarelli stable on March 8th. He went off at a huge price that day & connections will be hoping to prove that effort wasn’t a fluke. The unexposed Runaway Indy wasn’t beaten far in his third start latest & is also respected.

10.53pm – Sigur Ros @ 15/8

There was only a head between My Friend Tony & Argosy Fleet over course & distance March 6th. Jockey Juan Hernandez has been riding plenty of winners lately & My Friend Tony is taken to confirm that form. Preference is for Sigur Ros who usually contests better races than this & is having his first start since joining Frank Lucarelli.

11.22pm – Crown Kitten @ 6/1

Lucky Christiana holds most of tonight’s opposition on the form shown when winning over course & distance on March 7th. Crown Kitten was well fancied in that race & failed to sparkle. Crown Kitten has a decent gate draw tonight & it’d be no surprise to see the mare bounce back to form at an each way price.

23.52pm – Arno’s Mane Man @ 3/1

Arno’s Mane Man is looking for his third win on the bounce. He’s having his first run since joining the Blaine Wright barn. This looks a tougher assignment but with Juan Hernandez retaining the ride he is taken to keep the winning streak going. With three places available it could also be worth chancing Cannonball Comin each way at a double figure price. He ran well for tonights jockey when beaten only 2 & ¼ lengths last time out.
