Vaal 11.15 – ZULUONMYSTOEP @ 5/4

ZULUONMYSTOEP’s recent form just about edges this and he can make it third-time lucky. Great Esteem is difficult to ignore where second place is concerned after his second in a handicap here six weeks ago, while El Romiachi looks best of the others.

Vaal 11.50 – Afternoon Tea @ 10/3

AFTERNOON TEA looks to have marginally the best credentials following her win in a maiden at Turffontein recently. Zernez improved a bit further last time and can also play a major role, while Mynage has been placed both starts and s perhaps the most interesting of the others.

Vaal 12.30 – SIREN OF GREECE @ 6/4

SIREN OF GREECE form wise holds a clear-cut advantage and is a confident selection. Fire And Ice has a bit to find with the selection, but improved last time and gets the nod among the others, while The Eighth Lord looks best of the remainder.

Vaal 13.10 – Grey Street @ 11/4

GREY STREET earns the narrow vote after his second over C&D a couple of weeks ago. Abdul also ran well when second last time rates the main opposition now upped markedly in trip, while Kool Baikal also commands scrutiny.

Vaal 13.45 – AFRICAN ADVENTURE @ 13/8

AFRICAN ADVENTURE has run plenty of good races recently and should give backers a run for their money. Course-winner Highlander makes most appeal among the rest, while Shabba Ranks needs to bounce back but is also in the running for some place money at least.

Vaal 14.20 – DIORAMA @ 8/1

DIORAMA is a recent course winner and looks to have marginally the best claims after running well in listed company last time. Tahitian Orana, another recent course winner, has the best claims of the remainder, while Green Dragon enters calculations for third place.

Vaal 14.55 – WHAT A STORY @ 8/1

WHAT A STORY is narrowly favoured all things considered after his good third here 4 weeks ago. C&D winner Waqaas is a solid alternative, while Akwaan arrives on the back of a best effort here last time edges it for third.

Vaal 15.30 – WE ALL CHOMIES @ 11/1

WE ALL CHOMIES won here last summer and has been pretty consistent since so he gets the nod. Roger The Dodger can go well on handicap debut after a maiden win here just over two weeks ago. Course-winner Sweet Trail is in the running for minor honours.
