19:45 Will Rogers – Fast One @ 4/7

Will Rogers Downs certainly wouldn’t be known as one of the premier racetracks in the US and any time a horse ships in from a half decent track, it’s well worth taking note. Fast One makes his first start in Oklahoma tonight after shipping in from Gulfstream Park and is greeted with an opposition of nothing more then cardboard cut-outs resembling horses.

He’s not exactly going to be a working man’s price given the grade, but if he can’t shed the maiden tag here, he might as well call it a day. His trainer Scott Becker tends to farm these races and was operating a 24 per cent strike rate all told in 2019. This won’t be one of his biggest priced winners but should be a winner on the board nonetheless.

20:15 Will Rogers – Inagoodway @ 9/2

This race looks littered with early speed. We’ve only got six runners but at least four of them have the potential to lead and the other pair won’t be far off. Meeka is going to make this market, he put up a huge performance last time, but under completely different circumstances. He was allowed an easy lead that he won’t have tonight and should find things very different.

Trainer Karl Broberg has two runners against him and preference would be for Inagoodway. This mare also likes to be handy but has shown good form when taking a lead also. She has five wins from 10 starts at the track and has the benefit of a blowout over 6 furlongs to her name just a few weeks ago.

Back up to her preferred distance of a mile, she’s taken to go very well.

21:45 Will Rogers – Karate Hottie @ 11/8

This race looks another set to be quickly run and it’s the same solution as far as I’m concerned.

Karl Broberg and jockey Paulina Ramirez will hopefully be teaming up for a double with Karate Hottie. One of her main rivals Settle Down Eileen has emptied many a wallet in the past, having finished second when starting odds-on SEVEN times in the last nine months alone.

It probably goes without saying that she’s one to avoid, even if the likely strong will suit. Karate Hottie she should sit in the middle of pack and will have no excuses from stall one. Her class and tendency to actually put her head down in a finish should shine through.

She’s very hard to look past in this heat.
