Horse Racing Tips: A terrific treble from the traders for Santa Anita

The sun always shines in sourthern California they say, and our traders hope these three runners at LA's Santa Anita track make the most of the golden light

US Racing Santa-Anita

20:00 Dr Dorr – 6/4

Time waits for no man and such is the case for Dr Dorr. Less than two years ago he finished second in a group one to subsequent Breeders Cup Classic champion Accelerate but that was his peak and he has been on the decline since and today is up for sale for $62,500 while facing some very ordinary horses and I believe this Santa Anita specialist can leave the Bob Baffert stable with a win.

21:33 Bound For Nowhere – 4/7

While many of us are wondering what Wes Ward is going to do with 40 precocious two-year-olds with no races to run in, Wes is keeping the show on the road with Bound For Nowhere looking to pick up a nice little grade 3 on the turf contest, he looks the most solid odds on shot one can find today and with more than 10beyer points in hand on his rivals this should be an exhibition of speed.

22:35 Oscar Dominguez 11/8

Some might remember how picturesque the Santa Anita downhill turf track is (think Brick and Mortar in the Breeders Cup Turf last November). Oscar Dominguez sets the standard here in a week grade three affair, his third to United rates very highly and Italian jockey Umberto Rispoli currently riding the track at a 22% strike rate since moving stateside from Hong Kong has been a revelation. Pace wise Oscar Dominguez is going to be closing fast at the line for maximum excitement.
