15:10 Wetherby – Frankie Ballou

Frankie Ballou split two horses in good form when second on his latest start. He was running from 6lbs out of the handicap, which made the performance all the more impressive.

He is running off a 1lb lower mark now and it looks an excellent opportunity to get his head in front.

15:25 Taunton – Hollywood Ken

Hollywood Ken makes his chasing debut and if he could replicate his latest run he would look to have a great opportunity to win this. He was third behind the seriously well handicapped Main Fact recently, with the second, running well in defeat since.

He is taking on some fairly exposed chasers and while backing a horse on chase debut comes with very obvious risks = you would like to think that he has been well schooled in preparation and can make his presence felt.

16:55 Wetherby – Pond Road

Pond Road was very well backed on his first two handicap starts but didn’t reward his followers.

However, his latest start was a lot more promising over an inadequate test of 2m 4f. He wasn’t beaten all that far and stepping back up to 3 miles for his in form stable he makes a lot of appeal now.
