Ruby Walsh is famous for his sense of humour. In that, on the surface at least, he doesn’t appear to have one.
That’s according to some of the crueller denizens of social media. But here at Paddy Power, we know he’s a man who loves a laugh, even if he tends to be sparing with them. To tickle Ruby, it has to be genuinely funny.
Which brings us to the object of the exercise.
As we all know by now, horse names can be a little bizarre. Sometimes, you’d have to wonder what’s going through owners’ minds when they come up with the likes of No No Mac, The Flying Sofa or Devious Dicks Dame. Still, giving horses weird names is the done thing – and who are we at Paddy Power to question that tradition?
So we decided to marry this long-standing tradition with Ruby’s apparently undemonstrative nature and bring you the Cheltenham horse name generator. Simply hit “Spin” below, screenshot your favourite result and Tweet us @paddypower along with the hashtag #MakeRubyLaugh.
We’ll show the best to Ruby and if your submission makes Mr Walsh giggle, you’ll be in with a chance of winning a £/€500 free bet ahead of the Cheltenham Festival.
Don’t forget you can spin as many times as you like until you think you’ve hit a winner!
CLOSING DATE/TIME: 10:30 Tuesday 10 March 2020. Winners announced on Twitter at 11:30 Tuesday 10 March 2020, winning free bet credited before 13:30 Tuesday 10 March 2020.
