Paul Midgley has been among the winners and War Whisper shaped like a winner-in-waiting when beaten half a length in second on his return to action over this C&D last month. The seven-year-old recorded a good closing sectional on that occasion, short of room entering the final furlong, and staying on well to take second close home. War Whisper is able to race from the same mark now and another bold bid is expected.
I Know How is really starting to get his act together now, landing a gamble when winning a C&D handicap in December, and proving better than ever when following up back here last time, making good headway to lead around a furlong out and staying on well thereafter. It is worth noting that he took a long time to pull up after, suggesting he has even more to offer, and a subsequent 6 lb rise may well underestimate him.
Full Secret ran her best race to date in a minor event over this C&D in January, and it could be worth forgiving her latest effort on handicap debut, running below form, but that could be down to not handling the fibresand. Given her pedigree, and the balance of her form prior, she looks fairy treated from a mark in the 50s, so is worth giving another chance for a yard that are warming up nicely.
