Mares Novice Hurdle tips: Willie always dominates but our pundits pick their winner

Will Willie do it for the fifth consecutive time? our From the Horse’s Mouth Podcast Panel discuss

FRANK HICKEY

Colreevy, Dolcita and Minella Melody ran against each other at Fairyhouse in a Grade 3 with the latter coming out on top in that one. I thought Dolcita showed a bit of promise. She’s weak in the betting. She didn’t jump great but still wasn’t beaten that far and that experience won’t be lost on her. The fact there’s only two hurdles in the last six or seven furlongs will probably help her. She looks a good each/way bet to me at 7/1.

RUBY WALSH

I think Colreevy is a bet to nothing at 7/1. She stays, she jumps, the new track will suit her. If I was riding one of Willie’s in this, I’d be riding Colreevy.

LIZZIE KELLY

I was really disappointed with Fujimoto Flyer at Kempton when she got beaten by Solo. I thought she was really impressive at Auteuil and Killarney the time before that. She looked like she had a huge amount of speed and maybe got caught in the pack turning at Kempton and maybe that just cost her because Solo had already gone. I think she’s a bit more sexy than the others. She’s a bit feisty, but interesting and I’d take a punt on her.
