Horse racing tips: Ruby Walsh’s 3 best bets for Fairyhouse on Saturday

Horse racing legend Ruby Walsh revealed his best bets at Fairyhouse for Saturday's racing

Fairyhouse 14.17 – BATTLE OF WILLS (15/8)

It’s a strange time but at least we get to see them all! Willie is running four – Gamin Original, Burning Victory, Gjoumi and Hook Up. Paul Townend has gone for Gamin Original and, based on work at home, he’s probably made the right call.

I’m a fan of Hook Up, who Rachel Blackmore rides and I wouldn’t put anyone off backing that one, but Battle of Wills for Gordon Elliott and Georgette Fun for Jessica Harrington both boast good jump form, and the Elliott runner really caught my eye at Naas.

Fairyhouse 14:52 – Moyode Gold (9/2)

The Tommy Carberry Memorial Handicap Hurdle is a hard one to get a handle on at Fairyhouse on Saturday, but, down at the very bottom of the entries, James Nash runs a mare named Moyode Gold and I think she’s still ahead of the handicapper.

Fairyhouse 16.02 – BELLSHILL

Six runners here, fourth of them are Willie Mullins’s, there’s one for Henry de Bromhead and one for Gordon Elliot. Henry’s been talking up Alpha des Obeaux all year for the English Grand National for anyone that will listen.

But Bellshill is a class apart from the rest of the field here. He only needs to come back somewhere close to his best form and he will win the race.  He’s got good form in this race having won it back in 2018 from A Genie In Abottle.

One other to keep an eye on is Voix Du Reve. He steps up in trip here and could be the other interesting one of Willie’s to challenge.
