Adjutant recorded successive victories with plenty in hand at Stratford in June and, though he was a bit below form when second at Newcastle on his reappearance last month, he has made up into a fairly useful sort over hurdles for Olly Murphy. He returns to the Flat 5 lb lower than when he was last seen in this sphere and is certainly one to consider.
14:20 – COOLAGH MAGIC
Coolagh Magic looked to be back to somewhere near his best when third at this venue last month, catching the eye after keeping on without being given at all a hard time. He has won around here in the past and is on a handy mark, so is of plenty of interest in what doesn’t look the strongest race.
14:55 – BADAYEL
Badayel finished a very good second at Wolverhampton recently, finding only one too good for the fourth time in his four career starts, and looks the one to beat here. He is still lightly raced and this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account at the fifth time of asking.
15:25 – TYNECASTLE PARK
Tynecastle Park proved as good as ever when resuming winning ways at this course on his penultimate start, and ran respectably on his latest outing when finding only a significant improver too good. He is a three-time winner over this course and distance and is an obvious player again here.
16:00 – JORVIK PRINCE
Jorvik Prince made an excellent start for Mick Appleby when getting off the mark at the first attempt last month. He shaped better than the bare result might imply when fifth on his penultimate start, but quickly resumed winning ways in a first-time hood at Wolverhampton on Monday. He is quickly turned out under a penalty here and remains with handicapping scope, so he gets the vote to record his third win in four starts for his new yard.
16:35 – DECISION MAKER
Decision Maker produced his best effort to resume winning ways over this course and distance last Wednesday, winning by just under four lengths after being eased down late on. He looks to be thriving at the minute and has obvious claims of following up after being turned out under a penalty.
