Horse Racing tips: A trader treble to get Monday off to a flyer

Let's wander to Wolverhampton to start the week.

Star Ascending horse wolverhampton

Wolverhampton 17.05 – Sound Mixer

Sound Mixer has been knocking on the door since embarking on a handicap campaign and has only been nudged up 1lb for her recent Newcastle second.

Connections will be hoping she will eventually be a lot better than her current mark of 66, and she can finally get off the mark at the sixth time of asking.

Eglish was an emphatic course and distance winner last time, but  is now a non-runner, which makes Sound Mixer’s job all the more easy.

Wolverhampton 18.10 – Clap Your Hands

Clap Your Hands made it three from four in handicaps with a bloodless victory here last time. He has quite rightly been put up 11lbs for that effort, but is still unexposed, particularly going up further in trip.

The extra two furlongs do pose another question but he has hardly been stopping in any of his races so far, so that should not be a concern.

Wolverhampton 19.40 – Kaser

Kaser loves it round here and is taken to complete a course and distance hat-trick having won his last two over course and distance. Sha La La La Lee was behind him when they met last month and is expected to be so again, even on 3lb better terms.

A bigger danger is likely to be Felix who has rattled off a hat-trick of his own, including a win over this trip here in December.
