Horse racing tips: 3 crackers from our traders on Friday’s UK & Irish racing

It's the last day of the working week for most people, but our number-crunchers are only getting into their stride.

Chepstow

13:20 Chepstow – Beyondthestorm

He makes his chase debut here off what looks a very attractive mark of 116. Trainer Nicky Henderson is wasting no time in sending him over fences, having only had three hurdle runs.

He did show ability in them runs and given the fact he’s a P2P winner he looks sure to improve for larger obstacles.

16:00 Chepstow – Shaughnessy

This marathon test on heavy ground will take plenty of getting, so something with a nice racing weight would appeal.

Shaughnessy comes into this off the back of two fair chase efforts. He’s been dropped 5lbs since so looks to have been given a chance by the handicapper.

He looks to handle this ground well and this trip could unlock some more improvement so he’s likely to run very well.

17:30 Dundalk – Secret Wizard

Drops into a claimer here and comes out fairly treated on ratings.

He wasn’t beaten too far on his penultimate run in what looked a really competitive race, so dropping in class here should really see him go close.
