Horse Racing Tips: Monday’s 17/2 trader double for Kelso & Plumpton

That's a top twosome if ever I saw one

The end of January is in sight – it can’t come soon enough, can it? – and what better way would there be to ease things along than a delicious double at Paddy’s expense?

Well, we might just have the perfect pairing for you if these two selections show their worth on Monday.

First up, let’s take a look at The Con Man’s claims in Kelso’s 3.15.

That’s no joke, trust me…

Giddy-up, it’s time to gallop over to Paddypower.com

3.15 Kelso

This looks a competitive little race but The Con Man (7/4) has every chance of giving champion-elect Brian Hughes yet another winner. He is by far the most unexposed in the field and shaped like the extra distance here would suit when running well on handicap debut last time.

He has been raised 5lbs for that effort but is still a confident selection.

3.00 Plumpton

Whiskey In The Jar (5/2) has some questions to answer after an uninspiring return to action at Aintree in December but, if he needed that run, he is certainly up to doing himself justice tomorrow. The 5lb drop sees him able to run in a 0-125, and the step up to just over three miles could also eke out more improvement.

If able to replicate some of his novice form from 2018 he should be competitive here.

A double on this pair pays out at over 17/2 on Paddypower.com
