Now there’s something I have to declare here… this is a horse I’ve got a leg in.

There’s about eight or nine of us with a stake here, so a leg is probably about right!

It’s called BOSS MAN FRED.

He’s off in 14:05 Albert Bartlett River Don Novices’ Hurdle.

‘The Boss’ arrives in good shape – he’s won all four of his races over the past 12 months.

The first was by two-and-a-half-lengths back in March 2019 at Ballyragget and he followed that up in November at Kempton in Harry’s first time riding him.

He ran twice in December, beating Springfield Fox on the 3rd at Southwell and doing the business again after Christmas at Doncaster.

Boss Man Fred beat Snow Leopardess by nine lengths that day so has proven pedigree at this track.

Hopefully he’ll be going to the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham if he runs well.

In fact, he’s my ante-post tip! Boss is 33/1 for the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham and hopefully he’ll run well at Doncaster on Saturday and lay down a marker of what he can do.

I’ll even make him my NAP for the weekend’s racing too!

He likely to be going off around 9/4.
