I like the look of QUARENTA at Doncaster.

He’s off in the 15:15 Handicap Chase and arrives in good shape.

A step up to three miles has really been the making off him.

He’s had seven runs at that distance or longer and has three wins and two seconds on his CV.

Quarenta was unlucky not to win at Kempton back in December when he was last out, having been well placed to win but for a mistake two from the finish which stalled his progress.

He made up ground towards the finish and closed well with a strong challenge and just missed out beaten by a head by Just A Sting.

Earlier that month he beat Diplomante Sivola at Fontwell for his most recent victory, with others over three miles coming at Warwick in February last year and the other on the same track in December 2018.

He’s now got up four pounds to 139 since that near-miss at Kempton last time out and the drying ground at Doncaster will suit.

Young Jonjo O’Neill is on him and we know he’s a classy rider.

I think everything’s in place for a decent run here, and at around 8/1 could be a nice earner.
