Willie Mullins has the first of his four runners in this 2m Mares maiden hurdle in Yukon Lil who is looking to make a winning debut over hurdles after winning two of her seven bumpers.
She has schooled well, goes well and will take a bit of beating today.
We’ve two runners in Tiger Tap Tap and Jazzaway for the four-year-old maiden hurdle and the market has called it right, by making Tiger Tap Tap the favourite.
He was slightly disappointing in the Grade 3 Fishery Lane Hurdle at this venue last month, but drops down in class now. If he can reproduce the form that saw him finish second to the ill-fated Sire Erec at Leopardstown last Christmas that will be good enough today.
Bapaume can make amends for his disappointing first run fences last month when he was expected to make a winning reappearance over the larger obstacles.
He ran in the best company over hurdles, signing off his career over timber when a close-up third to Unowhatimeanharry and Bacardys at Punchestown in the Grade One Stayers Hurdle. Previously, he had finished fourth to Paisley Park in the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham.
He started favourite, but could only finished seventh, to Ronald Pump over 2m 5f at Fairyhouse on his chasing debut.
He’s a good jumper and should stay today’s 2m 3f trip.
