Trader tips: Here’s 3 to see if we can make it a magnificent Monday

Still looking forward to Friday, mind.

Kempton Races

14:05 Kempton – Annie Mc @ 15/8

Annie Mc bumped into some smart sorts in points before joining this yard and she made serious strides over hurdles last year, progressing to a rating of 140. While she looks likely to go chasing later this season she looks to have been found a decent opportunity on seasonal return. Still only five-years-old she has loads of scope for improvement and is fancied to take this Listed mares hurdle.

14:35 Kempton – Doctor Dex @ 13/8

Doctor Dex was a good hurdler last season who connections always felt would make a better chaser. That certainly looked the case at Ascot on chase debut where he jumped really well and put a decent field of handicappers away fairly easily. Raised 8lb to a mark of 134 he can continue his progression here. Likely still well handicapped he could be a 140 horse.

Ludlow-Racecourse

15:20 Ludlow – First Assignment 85/40

First Assignment was a very smart handicap hurdler last year who earned a rating of 142 after a midfield in the pertempts final at the festival. Well backed on chase debut at Cheltenham in October he travelled and jumped well for most of the contest before tiring badly in the heavy ground. With that seasonal opener under his belt he is fancied to improve significantly today and should be hard to beat.
