Cornerstone Lad made an encouraging return to the Flat when narrowly beaten at Carlisle in May and remains on a fair mark in this sphere based on his hurdles form. He refused to settle last time out but was closing to the line suggesting there is more to come from him at this level, and he is expected to be bang there at the finish line with the forecasted heavy ground doing him no harm.
No Cruise Yet showed improved form on his handicap debut when 10 lengths fourth at Bangor and should benefit from a stiffer test here. He is down 1 lb on his return and should have more to offer in this sphere. This is an open race and No Cruise Yet has as good a chance as any from a stable in excellent form at the minute.
