Para Queen looks capable of defying a 6 lb penalty to make it back-to-back victories after blowing apart a similar field at Windsor last week. Para Queen tanked along under testing conditions and stayed on strongly despite having already put the race to bed.
She looks well in under a penalty and is the clear one to beat.
Next Best: Pentimento – 18:40 Kempton
Pentimento took a big step forward from debut last time out when finishing strongly from well off the pace to finish runner-up at Chelmsford.
He was nearer last than first turning in but made good headway inside the final furlong and is fancied to open his account now.
Each-way: Gavlar – 19:10 Kempton
Gavlar has been below form of late but he has a good record at Kempton and has each-way claims for an in-form yard if putting his best foot forward.
The three-time Course and Distance winner hasn’t won for over a year, but has dropped down the weights and is now 9 lb lower than his last winning mark.
