Traders Racing Tips: This 4/1 Double gets our vote for Monday’s cards

A good start to the week this would be

3.20 Ayr – Rightdownthemiddle @ 6/5

This looks a poor enough race so it is taken on trust that master trainer Gordon Elliott can rejuvenate Rightdownthemiddle on his first start back from Sean Curran. When he left Elliott back in December 2018 he was rated a massive 43 pounds higher than the 89 he runs off tomorrow, so if Gordon can eke out any of the old ability he would be a certainty here.

3.10 Wexford – Champagne Classic @ 5/4

Not masses between the four runners here but the five pounds Champagne Classic receives for having not won a chase before 1st February could tip the scales in his favour. A Grade 1 winning hurdler, he performed with credit in two chases off the back of a massive absence last season before easily winning on return a fortnight ago. That race fitness will also give him an edge against his three opponents here.
