Horse Racing tips: Your 3 best bets for Thursday from our trading insiders

Carlisle, Ludlow and Wolverhampton on the radar.

Brewinupastorm

14:25 Carlisle

This is a really hot novice beginners chase with all five runners expected to win races over the larger obstacles this season.

Brewinupastorm remains very lightly raced, has the frame for fences and dropping back to 2miles looks an excellent idea having appeared to run out of steam over 2 ½ miles at both Cheltenham and Aintree in the spring.

He has the potential to go very high over fences.

14:35 Ludlow

The bold jumping, front running style of Alexander The Grey should be well suited to the sharp turns of Ludlow.

There are question marks around a number of the other runners and if his young jockey can give him a breather at some stage then Alexander The Grey could be hard to peg back and collect a maiden victory at the 29th attempt.

18:45 Wolverhampton

Plenty of potentially smart sorts in this 2yo novice but the one who stands out is John Gosden’s Buwardy.

Very green on debut at Newmarket last month he ended up a well beaten sixth of eight runners. Sent to Chelmsford for his next start and very weak in the betting, he did really well to finish second, having given first run to the winner and the third off a moderate early pace.

He really seemed to get the hang of things in the final furlong that day and if he can negotiate his wide draw here and track the pace he could be very hard to beat.
