Jason Weaver: This 6/1 shot can Breeze home at Newmarket on Friday

Friday racing on the tellybox. Lovely.

Newmarket 13:50 Lazuli @ 7/2

Charlie Appleby’s two-year-old was not seen at his best in a small three-runner contest at Doncaster last time, The way he travelled would suggest the drop down to the minimum 5f will be no problem and he has a massive chance to improve. He’s a little short on experience, but his ability can shine through in this lineup

Newmarket 14:25 Final Song @ 15/8

The form of her last run at HQ is undoubtedly the best on offer and that’s why she is at the top of the market. She was just out of her natural rhythm over a shorter trip last time and the extra furlong should see her travel that bit smoother on Friday. The Saeed bin Suroor yard is in good form and our jockey Oisin Murphy is red-hot too.

York 14:40 Sanaadh @ 20/1

It’s seems a little late in the six-year-old’s career to be stepping up in distance to a mile, but that is what his shrewd handler Michael Wigham thinks is needed to get his head in front. He’s got rock-solid form in some very good handicaps like the Bunbury Cup and a reproduction of that run will see him go very close at an each-way price.

Newmarket 15:00 Limato @ 3/1

Bidding to go ‘back-to-back’ in this contest, it looks as if all is in place for a repeat bid. Shine So Bright looks as if he is the pace angle in the race and Mustashry needs every inch of this 7 furlong trip. Ryan Moore will be able to get a nice toe into the race and can produce him late with a formidable change of gear up the hill.

Newmarket 15:35 Powerful Breeze @ 6/1

She’s been ultra impressive in her two races to date. Hugo Palmer’s filly travelled very smoothly at the back of the pack before making a massive move in the middle of the race to win comfortably at Doncaster last time. Roger Charlton’s Quadrilateral is all the rage for the 1,000 Guineas at the moment, but expect a change at the top of that market should Powerful Breeze continue her winning run on Friday.

York 15:50 Kosciuszko @ 14/1

Looked all over the winner last time at Newbury when hitting the front two furlongs from home, over slightly shorter then this 1m 6f trip. We’ve not seen him on too many occasions, so he is still relatively unexposed.

Jockey Robert Havlin should be able to wait and pounce late using his potent change of gear at the business end, now that he’s up in trip.
