Bank Holiday bonanza as Paddy Power racing punter nets £13k off £5 acca

Four horses. Three tracks. A £5 stake and a £13k return. Lovely.

While Manchester United were busy torpedoing their chances of a top-four finish in the Premier League on Saturday – one shrewd judge from England’s sweltering south-eat coast was making it a bank holiday weekend to remember.

Our pal placed a cheeky £5 acca on the gg’s and broke quickly from the stalls by banging in an 8/1 winner Epsom Faithfull in the 1.30pm at Goodwood to get the day – and the acca – off to a flyer.

There was barely time to cool down as, less than an hour later, Hamish was making it two from two at York (2.25pm) at the nicely rewarding odds of 7/1, before it was game on big-time when the 5/1 co-favourite Salute the Soldier obeyed orders and delivered in the 3.15pm at Goodwood to keep the dream alive.

We’d imagine there was plenty of screeching just 40 minutes later for the 6f Listed Sprint at Newmarket 3.55pm as 10/1 shot Raucous won by a head from the odds-on fav Pretty Pollyanna, to bring up this intrepid punter’s fourth and final leg.

May your Bank Holiday weekend taste even sweeter pal and we’ve reserved a spot for you in Paddy Power’s Punting Hall of Fame.
