Ruby Walsh: These 3 should feature at the Curragh tonight

Top jock turned top pundit. What more do you want?

Curragh 17:15 – Hong Kong @ 2/1

There may be some unrest in Hong Kong at the moment, but the equine version who runs in the Curragh opener could bring a bit of stability to the situation for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore.

Curragh 18:50 – Siskin @ 5/6

The Group One Keeneland Phoenix Stakes is the feature race on the card and sees a re-match between Ger Lyons’ Siskin and Aidan O’Brien’s Monarch of Egypt, who finished first and second here respectively in the Railway Stakes over 6f.

A lot of people told me that they’d fancy Monarch of Egypt to reverse the form when the pair met again but I don’t know what they saw to convince them of that.

I’m a huge Siskin fan and he can collect for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane tonight.

Curragh 19:25 – Beckford @ 9/4

Gordon Elliott’s Beckford can get back to winning ways in the Phoenix Sprint Stakes.

He was a classy two-year-old but has only raced twice this season, meeting trouble in running on his last start in the Listed Dash Stakes when fifth to Speak in Colours at this track.

He can make amends tonight.
