Ruby Walsh: A 7/1 Friday night double at Galway to kick us into the weekend

Willie Mullins’ Legal Spin got no run according to Patrick Mullins in the 2m amateur’s race on Monday night.

Another one who was very unlucky in that contest was his stablemate, Mr Adjudicator who started favourite. He was in a pocket for most of the race,  never came off the bridle and flew home to get fourth when the race was over.

He fell out of the stalls that night over 2m, so he’ll need to be buck himself up over 1m 4f tonight.

But, if Kevin Manning can get him into a good position, I think he’ll take all the beating.

Galway 19.25 1m 4f Flat Maiden

Dermot Weld can have his first winner of the week this week in the next race, as Hazel Bay has a big chance.  She’s the only four-year-old in the field and has to concede weight all round – but Ben Coen’s 5lb claim can prove invaluable.

The Rosewell House trainer has won this contest three times in the last six years and Hazel Bay can add to that later.
