This 16/1 value play can Zoom into the places at Kempton tonight

A double-digit punt on the all weather for our Wednesday wager. What's not to love?

Kempton Races

7.20 Kempton – meeting was abandoned earlier today.

I quite like the look of Mr Zoom Zoom from a value perspective here for trainer Luke McJannet. He’s been one of the rags during early trading though I’m not sure his form suggests he should be. He was very eye-catching on debut at Kempton, when trained by George Peckham, making up a lot of ground on the majority of the field from an uncompromising position, getting a big sectional time upgrade in the process.

He followed that up with some solid runs in novice company, again in races that weren’t run to suit. On handicap debut when stepped up in trip, he ran an excellent race at Windsor behind the Mark Johnston trained Summer Moon, who went on to bolt up in a competitive York handicap under a penalty on his next start.

That form looks extremely strong.

Blinkers seemed to light him up in his next start at Windsor before a slightly disappointing effort last time at Newmarket, though he didn’t seem to quite see out the 1m 4f trip. He drops back into a class 5 handicap here, down a furlong in trip to 1m 3f and given he’s already shown he likes the surface, he’d look a good each-way bet at the price @ 16/1.

Selection: Mr Zoom Zoom each way @ 16/1
