Matt Chapman: I’m royally attracted by the magnetic charm of this 9/2 hope

Matt's got his eye on a Haggas runner in the 2.25 at York

Here we go again! It’s Day 3 of the Dante meeting on ITV and it’s all about staying power with the Yorkshire Cup taking centre stage during coverage which also includes one event from Newbury.

Let’s get straight to it, and the 1.50pm is a Listed event for fillies over 5f. LADY KERMIT is likely to go off favourite, but she has every chance of getting the hat-trick up and could be a worthy one. She’s very fast and this track will suit having hacked up at Newcastle last time for Archie Watson.

Next at York is the 2.25pm, another Listed event for fillies but this time over 1m. MAGNETIC CHARM could be one for The Queen. She did better and better when stepped up in distance last season and should improve for Willie Haggas. Great eachway claims.

It’s the Group 2 Yorkshire Cup over 1m6f at 3.00pm. STRADIVARIUS was king of the stayers last term, and he should be able to give 3lb away to this lot. Hard to oppose for John Gosden.

And finally at York a handicap at 3.35pm over an extended 1m2f. UAE PRINCE easily has the ability to win a handicap off 99 and this should be his day for Roger Varian. Stays this trip well.

Meanwhile, over at Newbury ITV show the 2.10pm, a handicap over 6f. EMBOUR is in good form at the moment and was far from disgraced in defeat last time at Doncaster. Might well run a big one for Richard Hannon.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
