ITV is back in action at York and Newton Abbot on Wednesday and I’m hoping this blog will continue in great form after a magical four-timer at the weekend.
A lot of viewers’ attention will be on the big Oaks trial, the Group 3 Musidora over an extended 1m2f at 3.35pm.
But ITV are also showing the 2.10pm at Newton Abbot, a handicap hurdle over an extended 2m2f, and that’s where I’m looking here.
Many of these are iffy at the distance, and I’ll take a chance with the Harry Fry-trained DASHING OSCAR, who, ridden by Sean Bowen on this occasion, stays strong and is down in the handicap a fraction.
It’s a tough task under 11st 12lb but he brings a bit of quality to the event.
