Matt Chapman: Let’s make Good Friday a great Friday with my TV tips

The ITV racing roadshow rolls on to Lingfield and Newcastle on Friday and Matt Chapman's at the wheel...

It’s a manic day on ITV4 Friday with eight races from Lingfield and Newcastle to enjoy.

AMADE just keeps on winning for Marco Botti and I see no reason why that run won’t continue. He stays strong and is just in great form so he’ll do for us in the 2m Conditions race in the 2.00pm at Lingfield.

Next at Lingfield is the 2.30pm, another Conditions event for fillies’ and mares’ over 7f. This is wide open, but I’ll have a few quid eachway on CROSSING THE LINE, who has a bit to find on ratings but is in good shape for Andrew Balding after a win at Kempton last time.

The 3.05pm at Lingfield is a 6f sprint and the fastest horse in here is the talented KACHY. While the draw could have been kinder, he has so much pace for Richard Kingscote and Tom Dascombe and should just be out, away and gone.

There’s another conditions race at Lingfield over 6f at 3.40pm. A tricky heat. PIZZICATO looks a good each-way bet. The French raider scored well at Chantilly last time and has every chance on the ratings.

The 4.15pm at Lingfield is a conditions race over 1m 2f. WISSAHICKON is in a league of his own against this lot and cannot be opposed for John Gosden and Frankie Dettori. Just too good.

And finally at Lingfield, a 1m conditions contest at 4.45pm. OH THIS IS US flopped badly when I fancied him at Wolverhampton last time, but he’s much better than that and won well the time before. Can bounce back.

Meanwhile over at Newcastle, ITV show the 3.20pm, a Listed race over 1m. Quite a few of these might struggle at the trip, so I will go each-way with the promising BAYROOT who will have no problem with a mile for Roger Varian. Looked good on the debut at Kempton although this is much tougher.

The other race ITV show from Newcastle is a handicap over an extended 1m 4f at 3.55pm. DESERT FIRE is up in trip for Saeed bin Suroor but the Meydan form he has suggests he will stay. He’s unexposed and capable of more improvement so might hit the frame.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
