We’ve no idea what the Sandown judges were smoking earlier today, but it must have been some strong stuff.
The 1.50 race at the English track came down to a photo finish, with Nigel Twiston-Davies’ One For Rosie and Hughie Morrison’s Third Wind pushing each other right to the line. The win was initially given to One For Rosie with Sam Twiston-Davies on board.
But then:
RESULT OVERTURNED…

#Sandown: chaotic scenes here as judge calls wrong ‘winner’ (1-50); Third Wind confirmed as successful from One For Rosie 10 minutes after OFR announced first; two finishing lines here (chase/hurdle) & result based incorrectly on first

Oh dear. Not a great look for the judge in charge of making that call.
Still, rather than leave angry punters who backed One For Rosie ruing their bad luck, Paddy knew he had to step up:
We are paying out on BOTH One For Rosie and Third Wind as winners in the 1:50pm at Sandown.
Shops, online, singles, multis. The whole kit and caboodle. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/NWBixqizoD
