Jason Weaver: The rest will need to Proceed with caution around this one

Jason Weaver runs the rule over the cards at Dundalk and Wolverhampton...

Stanhope bumped into a smart one in his previous race and comes in here with strong credentials for an in-form stable. It’s only his third run on this surface and we can hope that this excellent handler can squeeze a little more from him.

Koybig disappointed last time, however can be forgiven an under par performance as he was restless and edgy in the gate beforehand.

He has some very strong backlash and has only recently joined this stable. Additionally, he has a cracking 33% strike rate on the all-weather and can better that this evening.

Pacific Fleet is obviously not the easiest to train having been through quite a few stables. He’s landed with a very underrated handler who does incredibly well with limited ammunition. If they have been able to iron out a few kinks he has more than enough ability to be a massive-priced each way player.

17:45 Wolverhampton

Skydiving finds himself dropped in grade after fitting himself very well into solid handicap company. Coming in with a mid-to-low 70s rating he has been placed to win by a very hot jockey-trainer combination. Additionally, given his running style with plenty of pace in here it should set up perfectly.

18:45 Wolverhampton

Lahessar has had the wind operation after three qualifying runs this and start handicapping of a very realistic mark.

He ran in just about one of the hottest Newbury maidens on his debut and hasn’t produced a performance as good in two subsequent runs. The booking of Martin Harley is also a positive.

Proceed made no mistake on her debut for the archery-watching stables around this venue at Wolverhampton.

The handicapper obviously wasn’t impressed as he has only raised her 1lb for that victory. Given she was hard-pressed all the way round with a lot of pace pressure she did well to win – and can follow up and provide Archie Watson with a solid start to 2019.
