It is day three of the Christmas racing bonanza and while the action in the UK has quietened down, the offerings at Leopardstown and Limerick continue to be of the highest quality.
The race of the day is undoubtedly the Grade One Savills Chase at 15:00 in Leopardstown and there are a number of horses here that could challenge here, if they bring their ‘A’ game to the table of course.
Road to Respect is a very solid favourite and should prove very hard to beat, but keep a close eye on the two Henry De Bromhead charges Balko Des Flos and Monalee – they could push him all the way for victory.
At 13:50, we have the Grade One Squared Financial Christmas Hurdle and Apple’s Jade will take some beating here, although the great Faugheen should make this a real stern test of her stamina.
This should make for compelling viewing in a heavyweight contest that Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder would be proud of!
Elsewhere at Leopardstown, in the Ballymaloe Foods Beginners Chase at 13:20, we are keen on Gordon Elliott’s Gun Digger to come out on top against Bacardys and Tower Bridge.
Finally, keep a close eye on Stormy Ireland in the Irish Independent Hurdle (13:40) at Limerick, he could just brew up a victory in classy field for you there!
