Saturday Traders Tips: Our picks from Aintree and Sandown

There's some quality racing on Saturday, and our traders have cast their eyes over Aintree and Sandown's cards to find their favourite picks....

An extremely competitive day’s racing on Saturday, where the highlight is the Tingle Creek at Sandown, where Altior will need to be at his very best to make it 15 out of 15 over obstacles. Expect Un De Sceaux, Sceau Royal and Saint Calvados to really put it up to the reigning champ, but I think it will be a huge shock if he fails to keep his winning streak going.

Elsewhere on the Sandown card, Lalor has excellent claims of following up his breathtaking chase debut at Cheltenham with a win here in a Grade 1 at 1.50. He was a Grade 1 winner over hurdles and looks certain to make up into an even better chaser.

PaddyPower.com is first past the post for racing

In the 3.35, Royal Vacation bounced back to form at Cheltenham last time and remains well handicapped despite a 3lb rise for that run. We make him a 5/2 poke here.

Over in Aintree, the National fences are back in action and the Grand Sefton and Becher Chase are among the highlights on the card. In the Becher chase at 1.30, we like the claims of Regal Flow, who is 14/1. He will relish the testing ground and has stamina in abundance.

He looks to have solid each-way claims.

In the Grand Sefton at 3.15, Captain Redbeard looks quite solid in an extremely competitive renewal. We make him a 9/2 shot at the moment.

Elsewhere on the card, we make Definitly Red 1/2 to repeat last years win in in the 2.05. Finally, in the 2.40, Lady Camelot would look like she has loads to find in the Listed Mares Juvenile Hurdle, but both her hurdles runs were on unsuitable good ground. She was a progressive handicapper on the flat when getting testing ground and finally gets her ground over hurdles for Gavin Cromwell, who has a cracking recent record in the race. We make her 11/2 today.
