15:35 – York

Sea Of Class sets a high standard here and should be very difficult to beat though this is a hot a renewal. Laurens has questions to answer over this trip while the Group 1’s she has won have looked quite weak so she’s one we’re taking on. At the prices, the one we like is Eziyra, who was very impressive on her comeback at Leopardstown. Her trainer, Dermot Weld only tends to bring horses over when he thinks they have big chances. She’s 8/1 with ourselves which looks like a decent each-way bet in the race

13:55 York

Not our most confident race of the day, with some doubts about Fairyland returning from an absence. Angel’s Hideaway looks the most solid. She’s quite closely matched with Fairyland based on their run in the Albany and has put in two very good runs since, so of the two she looks the more certain to run to her best.

14:25 York

The one we like at a big price is Alfie Solomons, who ran in what looked a hot nursery at Goodwood and prior to that had been thought good enough to run in the Coventry Stakes. This doesn’t look strong, so he may be worth a look. He’s 14/1 with us which looks like the value in a tricky race.

15:00 York

We have a strong fancy here in Firmament, who we make a 9/2 chance. He was third in this race last year off a 10lb higher mark and won the race the previous year, so he is clearly well handicapped and goes well at the track.

He was a big eye-catcher behind Seniority at Goodwood last time when he never got any sort of run, so he looks primed for a big one here with the stable jockey Danny Tudhope back up. He’s drawn in stall one so should get a decent position and it’s hard to see him out of the frame.

16:50 York

At a big price, Angel Of Darkness could be very interesting here. She was a good third in this race last year off a similar mark and ran an eye-catching race at Ascot last time, coming from a long way back off a slow pace. Her trainer is right back in form and the booking of Silvestre De Sousa is also a big positive.
