Ruby Walsh: A look at Tipp on Thursday and some info on Willie’s flat horses

Ruby Walsh gives his thoughts on three of Willie Mullins' runners at Tipperary, as well as some key insights on WPM's flat horses...

Tipperary 18:55

Calie du Mesnil works nicely and has plenty of schooling done. She came from France and you’d hope she’d be capable of winning a maiden hurdle like this one.

Tipperary 20:30

Itsonlyrocknroll has been a little bit in-and-out in bumpers. He’s in good order though – as good as he’s been in a long time. He has plenty of experience under his belt and he’ll love the dry ground.

Tipperary 21:00

Getoutameway and Mason’s Daughter go in the mare’s bumper. A reproduction of either of Mason’s Daughter’s previous two runs will get her bang there.

Meanwhile, Willie has been humming and hawing about a flat campaign for Penhill, and we haven’t yet made up our minds.

He’s tipping away but I don’t know how he’s going

Max Dynamite and Thomas Hobson, however, could be well in the mix for the Gold Cup.

Riven Light got injured in Australia, but is in training. He’s coming along well, but I don’t know what the prognosis is in relation to when he can run.

Hopefully he’ll make progress, but time could be against him for Royal Ascot. Still, there will be plenty of other races for him throughout the season.
