13:20 – Sika Signs Maiden Hurdle

Alan Fleming looks to have found a very good opportunity for Bolbec to win on his Irish debut here at Killarney.

Formerly trained in France, he has some good form on the flat. We don’t have a superstar in this race, so Bolbec could be the answer if you are looking for a winner.

13:50 – Killarney Towers Hotel Maiden Hurdle

It could be that the Fleming team win the first two races, as Edelpour looks to have been found a perfect race to break his maiden tag in.

This horse was second to Mengzi Khan at Navan and we all know how good his form is.

14:20 – Killarney Oils Mares Hurdle

Stormy Ireland has run in some good races and not manages to bag one yet. This could be her chance, the track is perfect for her and it is hard to banish the memory of her wide margin win at Fairyhouse. She has not completed her last two starts, but don’t be put off by that. She is a good jumper really, while Lagostovegas is the obvious danger.

14:55 – Redweld Stables Handicap Hurdle

True Self will be really popular after a smooth success at Punchestown and the 8lbs weight rise may not be enough to stop this one.

Housesofparliament will be winning soon, I’m just not sure he wants this ground. So, the nod goes to Dis Donn as he is still attractively weighted and could still be improving.

15:25 – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase

Pravalunga was a game winner at Punchestown and just gets my pick in a good beginners chase. Hardline is closely matched with Bunk Off early and it could come down to jumping.

16:00 – Killarney Outlook Publications Novice Chase

Up For Review is a warm order for this, but has to bounce back from a below par effort last time. He is short in the betting, but I am taking a punt on Wonderoftheworld to spring a surprise and round off a good day for Denis O’Regan and Barry Connell.

16:30 – Irish Examiner Handicap Chase

Not For You was second in this one last year, he is 4lbs higher this year and has had worse ground to contend with. He has performed well at Chepstow on soft ground, so can cope with it if needs be.  Shower Cross will be the choice of many now chasing off a much lower mark, that doesn’t always work sometimes, but this horse was in cracking form last season and climbed a lot in the ratings.

17:00 – Jim Ryan Racecourse Services INH Flat Race

Keep an eye on the market for a move for Peres Et Fils. This son of Stowaway is well related and cost a few quid at the sales. Yukon Lil is the obvious choice after a great run in a valuable sales race recently.
