WATCH: Ruby Walsh may be back, but he owes us a lot of work

Paddy informed Ruby that he had some hours to catch up on in Power Tower after the top jock's lay-off with a broken leg…

After unfortunately breaking his leg in a fall at Punchestown in mid-November, champion jockey Ruby Walsh has missed most of the jumps season.

Ruby has had to endure a winter of painstaking rehab and recovery, but that also meant he wasn’t fulfilling the obligations he agreed to in his massive Paddy Power ambassadorial contract.

While being an understanding man, Paddy felt Ruby owed the company a little work after almost FOUR months off and sat down with the top jock to give him a few extra tasks around Power Tower.

Ruby was not happy, but agreed to try his hand at the deli counter and some cleaning – even if it left him wanting to mop the floor with some colleagues! However, when Walsh finally hangs up his whip he could have a bright future as a receptionist in PP – who knew he had such a lovely telephone manner!

How many times do we have to tell people not to mention Annie Power to him!

Thankfully, he was back in the saddle doing what he does best on Thursday, riding favourite Lareena to victory in the Thurles.ie maiden hurdle.

With Cheltenham right in front of us, it’ll be great to see the great man storm the Greatest Show on Turf once again.

Let’s face it, he’s not cut out for the office life!
