Jason Weaver: This 9/2 shot can show us the way home at Chepstow tonight

Never one to blow the start himself, the Weaver Shark is all over Malcolm Saunders' runner at Chepstow (8.35pm)

Roger Charlton sends KLOSTERS out for her second start taking on the boys in the opener at Chepstow in the 5.55. She was beaten next to nothing at a big price on her debut at Kempton, and you can guarantee an improved display this time from this quality outfit.

Given her recent run I can see her taking the bull by the horns and going for it.

SO SLEEK in the 6.25 looks like a point-and-shoot for team Luca Cumani. The Italian couldn’t buy a winner a few weeks back, but his horses are now running out of their skin. Josie Gordon is also in demand right now, and this looks like no more than just a guiding job for the rider. Her orders are ‘point and shoot!’

In the 8.35, SHOWMETHEWAYAVRILO was so unlucky last time after blowing the start by about four lengths, so Malcolm Saunders will be hoping for a smoother start for his runner at the Welsh track. If getting away on terms he must go close, for me he looks a winner without a penalty and another winner for Josie G.

Over at Goodwood, MUDAARAB in the 7:10 is the lightly-raced runner in here from the powerful Sir Michael Stoute stable. He made no mistake second time out and looks to have a very soft handicap rating of 85. This is a stepping stone to bigger and better races for this very well- bred colt.

Finally, Richard Hughes is letting MR MINERALS loose in the 8.15 for his second outing, and although it’s not an easy contest, his team couldn’t be in better form. He was punted like defeat was out of the question on debut at Wolverhampton and a mark of 80 looks fine. Let’s take advantage now.
