
Channel 4 Racing saw its final winner this afternoon following 32 wonderful years of broadcasting horse racing in the UK and Ireland.
It’s fair to say the channel has covered all of the greatest moments in the recent history of racing and today was emotional for all lovers of the sport. ITV will take the baton from the New Year and the guys from Channel 4 signed off their lengthy stint at Kempton earlier.
Tom George’s Double Shuffle ridden by Adrian Heskin had the honour of being the final winner shown live on the channel after he took the 3.30pm Handicap Chase at Kempton.
Following the race Channel 4 signed off for good with a brilliant collection of unforgettable moments from their time showing the sport.
Favourites like Kauto Star, Moscow Flyer, Frankel, Big Bucks, Desert Orchid, Istabraq, Denman, Sprinter Sacre and many more all feature. We won’t blame you for having a tear in your eye watching it because we’re right there with you – check out the video below:
