Jason Weaver: Get into the Christmas Spirit with this 11/4 shot at Dundalk on Friday

Joseph O'Brien's runner has been highly-tried but can benefit from the drop in class in the 5pm

Jason Weaver

Toccata Blue, Dundalk, 4.30pm

Needs to bounce back after a shocker last time. That’s a big possibility as the winner then, He’s Our Music made all and we never got into it over the extended 1m 2f. Dropping down in trip and hopefully ridden forward early on, can see him get another overdue win here for Ger Lyons.

Eagle Spirit, Dundalk, 5pm

Will find this much easier than locking horns with former stablemates Capri and Churchill on his last two outings. He was thrown in as the rabbit for Churchill it will be good to see him run with a winning chance rather than as a pacemaker. He might not be a big gun for the team but a rating of 90 should not be his ceiling.

Chestnut Fire, Dundalk, 6.30pm

Brings in a cracking all weather profile of six runs, three wins & two second-place finishes. His form behind Red Avenger the standout and a reproduction of that effort would be more than good enough in this line up. The  draw, trip, track , trainer, jockey, how many positives do you need!!

Keukenhof, Dundalk, 7.30pm

Ran a cracker for this pilot Donal Linehan (4) two runs back back when flying home late on to snatch third over a mile. She ran well   when stepped up to Friday night’s 10f trip from some way back in a slowly run race. Add to that she’s drawn close to the paint to get that perfect inside run which is a massive help over the two-turn 1m 2f trip.

Song of Love, Dundalk 8pm

Been going over a number of trips lately and is now back to what looks her optimum distance. She is well treated off 67 here having been as high as 86 at one point. When your horse draws 117lbs or 8st 5lbs there are not many riders to call on. However Wayne Lordan is the pocket rocket and it could be Xmas money time!
