Matt Chapman: Get ready to Rock at the Curragh with this 7/2 shot on Sunday

It's the 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh but I'm looking to the Tattersalls Gold Cup for a bit of value

A Classic weekend continues at the Curragh on Sunday with the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas, and it’s supported by some other wonderful Group-race action. Another chance to take Paddy to the cleaners.

The big race takes place at 1.55pm, and of course the most likely winner is Newmarket scorer MINDING. It will come as a major shock if she does not score for Aidan O’Brien.

Any clown can put up long odds-on favs though so I’m putting up TANAZA each-way for Dermot Weld. Beaten just 4l by Minding in the Moyglare Stud Stakes, Tanaza had looked good in two wins before that and the Aga Khan’s horses often improve with age. She might give us some fun in a race Minding should dominate.

There’s the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes at 2.30pm, and the one I like here is HOUSESOFPARLIAMENT even though Ryan Moore has ditched this O’Brien runner.

Far from disgraced at Chester, the selection thrashed the re-opposing Flying Bullet last season and should give us a good run.

The 1m Premier Handicap is at 3.05pm, and have a few quid each-wayon the in-form and consistent AUSSIE VALENTINE for the Paul Deegan stable. Jamie Spencer could make the difference to this five-year-old who has struggled to get his head in front but is running really well. He stays strong.

Finally, it’s the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup at 3.40pm, and it’s a cracking renewal.

Found will be favourite but is not actually top rated, and I’m hoping FASCINATING ROCK can reverse recent form at the Curragh where the selection was in need of the run.

Come on Dermot Weld!

So best of luck. A big Sunday. I want Yeeehaaas!
