It’s the final day of York’s Dante fixture and we’ve a later start on the TV races. The Yorkshire Cup is the big race of the day and I’ve got plenty of fancies I’m looking forward to getting stuck into. Hear me Paddy?
Let’s start with the 2.55pm the Listed Fillies’ Stakes over 5f. There could be some Royal Ascot juveniles in this field and the one I like is BOATER, who was hugely impressive for Mark Johnston on her debut over this trip at Kempton.
She has to do it on grass now, but Andrea Atzeni is a good booking. Johnston has a line on the promising Amlak from the Richard Hannon yard as his Camargue beat him by four lengths at Ascot.

We switch tracks to Newbury at 3.10pm and ENGLISHMAN has already been a credit to Milton Bradley this season. There might be one more win in him here for Ryan Moore.
Last season’s terrific juvenile NEMORALIA could have the 3.30pm at York at his mercy. Jeremy Noseda’s inmate was terrific in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, finishing third behind Catch a Glimpse. Sir Michael Stoute’s Thetis may be the danger.
The Group 2 Yorkshire Cup could help John Gosden’s FLYING OFFICER turn around recent Ascot form with Clever Cookie.
Flying Officer is progressive and Frankie Dettori can get the job done for us again after delivering on Magical Memory. Second Step has class but disappointed on his last two efforts.
I’m having a few quid each-way on TOP TUG (4.40pm), who might just be improving and able to score off a mark of 99. That would have been too high for Alan King’s charge in the past, but he has good course form and was a fine winner at Leicester 34 days ago.
I’ll be back tomorrow on Friday with all the weekend news. So get ready for some more Yeeehaaas!
