Dubai, Kempton and Haydock take centre-stage today as we have something for everyone and the real chance of some decent winners. So watch out Paddy. I’m coming for you. You hear me?
Let’s start with the 2pm at Haydock, which is a handicap chase over 2m 4f. BALLYBOLLEY didn’t quite see it out for Nigel Twiston-Davies at Kempton last time, but ridden with a bit more restraint he can take some beating. Hard to keep out the frame.
We have a 2m 7f handicap hurdle at Haydock at 2.35pm, and the one I like each-way is SYKES, who is very consistent but needs a bit of luck from off the pace. The better ground will help Philip Hobbs’ charge.

There’s a handicap chase over 3m at Haydock at 3:10pm, and the one I like here is KING MASSINI, who should hit the places at least for Evan Williams. He’s consistent and likes the ground. Have a few quid on.
Finally at Haydock there’s a 2m handicap hurdle at 3.45pm, and I’m having a few quid each-way on KINGS BAYONET, who might be one in this field who will really enjoy faster ground for trainer Alan King. He was a fair handicapper on the Flat.
Flat racing fans will welcome WINDSHEAR back over 1m 2f at 2.15pm. Richard Hannon’s runner doesn’t win very often, but he’s a classy sort and can outstay them over a distance a bit short of his best. Lump on.
The Roseberry Handicap is over 1m 3f at Kempton, and I like BARSANTI here for Roger Varian. He’s gone up 10lb but could still be chucked in and has a good draw.
Also at Kemtpon is a 6f handicap at 3.25pm, and I like SPRING LOADED here. The selection has been in great form for Paul D’arcy and a 6lb ride for two wins is not dramatic.
Dubai World Cup
Over at Meydan all eyes will be on CALIFORNIA CHROME in the Dubai World Cup at 5pm. Although he has a shocking draw out wide, he should be too good for the talented Frosted.
I have a feeling the draw is against Godolphin’s Tryster in the Duabi Turf at 3.45pm. I’m sticking with Roger Varian’s INTILAAQ to take advantage of his big market rival’s wider draw.
So best of luck. Let’s take Paddy’s cash with some Yeeehaaas!
